Overview
Size of Council
- 27 members appointed by the President for staggered
terms no longer than 3 years
- 15 of the 27 members will come through an open nominations
process
- 10 of the 27 members will be named by the President
and will include 3 people from outside the University
- 2 members will be directly linked to the Central
Administration - The President will appoint a member for the Planning
Cabinet and the Provost will appoint a member from the Coordinating
Council
Qualifications of Council members
- Nominees
will be selected to represent as much diversity as possible, while
not selecting individuals to represent a particular group
- Faculty,
staff and student nominees will selected from regional and main campus
- Nominees
will be selected who will be able to view issues impacting women from
both a personal and campus wide perspective
- Nominees
should be able to actively participate in the work of the Council

- Nomination
form can be found on the President's Council website
- Individuals
may nominate themselves or be nominated by others
- The
President will appoint new members to the Council at the beginning
of Spring quarter annually or as needed
